How We Fix Vertical Lines on LED TV Screens
Vertical lines are the ghostly haunting of LED TVs. They appear out of nowhere. One line, multiple lines, or shifting colors. Is your TV dead?
The Culprit: T-Con Board or COF?
The T-Con (Timing Controller) board tells the screen which pixels to light up.
- Scenario A (Lucky): The T-Con board is overheating or loose. Replacement cost: ₹1,500 - ₹2,500. Result: Perfect picture.
- Scenario B (Technical): The "COF" (Chip On Film) tab that connects the glass to the board is loose. We fix this using a Bonding Machine that presses the tab with heat and pressure. It's a high-tech fix but saves the panel.
Don't Press It!
Many people try to "squeeze" the bezel to make lines disappear. STOP! This can crack the delicate glass, turning a ₹2,000 bonding repair into a ₹10,000 screen replacement.
