The Truth About "Original" TV Parts: Panel & Board Guide
"Original parts" is the most abused phrase in the repair industry. Every shop claims it, but few provide it. Here is how you can verify what you are paying for.
1. The Circuit Board Code
Every genuine Motherboard or Power Board has a printed Part Number (e.g., BN44-00 or EAX64). Google this number. If the image matches exactly, it's the right part. If components look missing/different, it might be a hacked-together generic board.
2. The Screen Serial
Genuine panels (Open Cell) come with manufacturer stickers on the metal chasis. Ask your technician to show you the sticker on the back of the raw panel before installation.
3. "Pull-Out" Parts
Many shops use "Used" parts taken from broken TVs and sell them as "New". While used parts are fine if declared (and cheaper!), selling them as New is fraud. Look for dust around the ports or screw marks on the mount holes - dead giveaways of a used part.
