Why Your TV Motherboard Failed: Humidity & Power Surges
We see a strange pattern: TVs in Vasai West and Virar West fail 2x faster than those in East. The reason? The Arabian Sea.
The "Sulfur" Attack
The air in our region carries moisture and sulfur (from the creek/mudflats). This creates a microscopic corrosive layer on the silver tracks of your TV's motherboard. Over 2-3 years, this eats through the connection, causing "Dead Set" issues.
How to Protect Your TV
- Keep it Warm: Don't leave the TV off for months (e.g., if you go to a village). Running the TV generates heat that keeps moisture away.
- Silica Gel: Taping a small packet of silica gel near the ventilation ports (not blocking them!) can help absorb excess humidity.
- Stabilizers: For power surges (common in rainy season), a simple ₹1,200 stabilizer is cheaper than a ₹4,000 motherboard repair.
